CUHK Student Team Snatched Top Spot at GBCC 2019 in Japan
A team of four business students, comprising Michelle Ho and Kelvin Ho (both International Business and Chinese Enterprise, year 2), Bosco Luk (Global Business Studies, year 2), and Keven Lee (Asian Business Studies, year 4), were crowned champions at the Global Business Case Challenge (GBCC) in Japan, held on 3-8 December 2019.
The international case competition, hosted by Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), kicked-off with a 5-hour short case, followed by an intense 24-hour case where teams were tasked to formulate and present feasible solutions to real-world business problems in front of a panel of expert judges. Despite facing fierce competition, the CUHK team performed well under pressure and were able to impress the judges with their meticulous planning and deliberation to be named top winners.

“During GBCC, my teammates and I ventured into Japan’s papermaking and health technology industries and devised strategies that catered target companies’ marketing needs and expansion plans under strict time constraints. Not only was it an invaluable learning opportunity, we also exchanged ideas with people from all walks of life and created memories we would treasure for a lifetime.”
