International Student Sharing – My Three-year Journey at CUHK
My name is Claudia and I come from Italy. This is the penultimate year of my studies in the Integrated BBA programme (IBBA), at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
Three years ago, I chose to study here in Hong Kong as I wanted to take up a challenge in my life by broadening my horizons and learning from real-life experience. I have always been interested in business-related subjects, the outstanding university ranking of CUHK, the campus facilities, and the friendly environment, all of which brought me to the decision of enrolling in the IBBA programme away from home to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is a very dynamic city, where people with diverse background come together and create what I consider “the future”. Ever since I set foot in this city, I wake up every day with innovative ideas because I feel constantly inspired by personal life experience and the smart people I have met in the past three years.
What I like the most about CUHK is that communication at different levels is possible. Whenever I have a question or need some clarification, I can ask the professors directly as I know they are all happy to help. Besides, whenever I encounter any problems or raise my enquiries to the office, every case is taken seriously. Everyone is willing to listen and work out a solution. I don`t think such friendliness and helpfulness can be found in many universities, and I appreciate the assistance CUHK offers students because people here are always helpful and open to different ideas for improvement.
The flexible IBBA curriculum allows me to take double concentrations in Management of International Business and Marketing. I will be graduating next year, but I am not planning to leave Hong Kong so quickly! I will actively look for a job in Hong Kong because I believe this city has a lot to offer, and I don’t want to miss any opportunities of being here. Hong Kong will be the starting point of my career.
If you are passionate about life, eager to learn new cultures, broaden your horizons, challenge yourself and would prefer a more practical rather than a theoretical approach towards your studies, CUHK is definitely the right place to fulfil your expectations!
