CUHK Business School Launches the Third Year of Dialogue with Women CEOs and Mentorship Programme

 CUHK Business School has officially launched the third year of “Dialogue with Women CEOs and Mentorship Programme”, on 8 October 2020. The event features a panel of three women CEOs, including Ms. Diana Cesar, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC (Hong Kong), Ms. Amy Lo, Country Head and Chief Executive, UBS AG (Hong Kong), and Ms. Sally Wan, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Hong Kong.

The three panelists illustrated the importance of building resilience and endurance in times of hardship, and maintaining a positive attitude, drawing from their personal and professional experiences. Over 130 secondary schools are invited to participate in the programme, with 286 secondary school students, teachers and principals attending the event. This is also the first time the WCE dialogue was held online.

The WCE programme was established in partnership with a group of women chief executives from the financial services industry in Hong Kong, to empower the next generation through the exchange of views on business and social issues. Each dialogue event features a panel of female CEOs who discussed wide-ranging topics including leadership, soft skills, career development, diversity and inclusion.

Since the programme’s first launch in 2018, more than 900 secondary school students, teachers and principals, as well as female chief executives and professionals from various financial institutions have participated in the dialogue series.

The panellist discuss the importance of empathy, and encouraged the audience to keep an open mind for ideas when leading a team.

The online event was a success and joined by 286 secondary students, teachers and school principles, and Mrs. Helen Kan, Executive Director & Alternate Chief Executive Officer, China Citic Bank International Limited.

Ms. Sally Wan, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Hong Kong, shared her experience on leading through crisis and on helping others overcome hardships.

Ms. Diana Cesar, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC (Hong Kong), encourages students to trust their abilities and embrace changes and challenges in times of uncertainties.
