Women@Dior Mentoring Programme 2025
Since 2017, CUHK Business School has partnered with Christian Dior to send students to participate in the Women@Dior Mentoring Programme. This year marks the ninth year of this exclusive collaboration for CUHK Business School students. This global initiative aims to empower female students by fostering their professional growth. The programme is built on five core values: Self-Care & Self-Awareness, Autonomy, Creativity, Inclusion, and Sustainability. Each student is paired with a Dior mentor who offers guidance and support throughout the year-long programme.

To kick off this year’s programme, our student mentees from CUHK Business School attended a special welcome event at Christian Dior’s office on 21 March 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Ms Debbie Lu, Managing Director of Christian Dior Hong Kong and Macau. Ms Lu encouraged mentors and mentees to engage in a two-way learning relationship, emphasising openness and inclusivity. Mentors can share their knowledge and experience, while mentees bring fresh ideas and perspectives that drive creativity and innovation. This set the tone for a fruitful and enriching mentoring experience for the year.
Following this, Ms Eva Yung, Senior HR Manager of Christian Dior Hong Kong and Macau, shared her career development journey and mentoring experience. Drawing from her own story, she emphasised that life presents different challenges at various stages, each requiring different mentors, and highlighted the importance of having the courage to try new things. This provided the student mentees with valuable motivation, inspiring them to make the most of the programme.
Next, the student mentees had the opportunity to meet their mentors in person, marking a significant moment in their journey. During these interactions, they gained valuable insights into the luxury fashion industry, learning about its intricate dynamics, current trends, and the high standards of excellence that define it. The mentors shared their personal experiences and professional wisdom, providing the mentees with a deeper understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities. This exchange not only broadened the students’ knowledge but also empowered them to aspire to new heights in their future careers.
The group then explored the Christian Dior flagship store on Canton Road with Boutique Director Mr Larry Chan. Understanding the details of the boutique, from the story behind Dior’s Toile de Jouy, the store setting, and to the wall pattern design, the visit connected the students to the brand’s history. This experience provided the mentees with a deeper appreciation of Dior’s heritage and its commitment to evolving with creativity and excellence.

Ranging from inspirational sharing from Dior’s senior management, to getting to know our esteemed mentors, this serves far from a knowledgeable upgrade to fashion houses, but an exceptional opportunity to conduct self-reflection on various matters. I am thankful for the thoughtful advice from my mentor, Leo. His words of guidance have strongly resonated and created a sense of alleviation to my current challenges. Curious and eager to learn, I cannot wait to embark on the exploratory journey with my mentor and my fellow companions!”

“I am thrilled to be one of the mentees in the Women@Dior Mentoring Programme. It was an eye-opening opportunity that professionals at Dior have provide invaluable insights into the brand’s evolution, including the story behind Toile de Jouy. The store visit was especially enlightening, allowing me to connect more deeply with Dior’s legacy. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my mentor, Janelle. Her insights have inspired me to deepen my understanding of the operational mindset in the luxury retail world, and have enriched my appreciation for the brand’s identity. Looking forward to embarking on this one-year journey with my mentor and fellow mentees!”
