Welcoming Our New International Students to the CUHK Business School Family!
As CUHK Business School has an international mix of student population from over 30 nationalities within our community, we always serve as a second home for overseas students, providing them with a diverse and energetic environment where they can learn, grow, and expand their networks alongside local peers who share similar values and aspirations.
This year, our undergraduate family is excited to welcome nearly 70 new international students from over 10 countries, including Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, the USA and many more. To greet our vibrant new cohort of students, the Undergraduate Office (UGO) has initiated various orientation and integration activities helping the incoming business students mingle, connect with the faculty members, and kick off their new university life at CUHK Business School.
Meeting with Our Faculty Members
In early October, UGO arranged welcoming lunch meetings for students to gather and share their experiences as freshmen beginning their academic journey at CUHK Business School, while adapting to a new life in Hong Kong. The meetings were graced by the presence of Dr. Fred Ku, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of CUHK Business School, Dr. John Lai, Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of CUHK Business School, Ms. Rose Chan, Administrative Director (UG Programmes) of CUHK Business School.
UG Get Together – BBQ Party 2024
Following the lunch meetings, UGO also collaborated with the Asian Business class led by Dr. John Lai, Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of CUHK Business School, for a BBQ night for all undergraduate students after the intensive schedule of mid-term exams on 25 Oct 2024.
Beyond enjoying the night with mouth-watering food and exciting prizes in the lottery, the night also converted to a talent stage for our students to sing, dance, and perform with various musical instruments!
Time flew by, and the night quickly came to an end – but all these little moments will never fade and will remain as one of the best memories to remind us that how big and fantastic our CUHK Business School family is.
