In January, the CUHK Business School officially launched this year’s Student Ambassador Programme, welcoming an exceptional new cohort to the SA family.

Marking a significant milestone for the initiative, this year’s intake reflects a well-balanced mix of local and international students, whose diverse cultural backgrounds and global perspectives bring a dynamic richness to the team, highlighting the School’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and globally minded community.

These talented individuals were selected through a revamped and dynamic recruitment process. As part of the selection, candidates took part in a Presentation Skills Workshop, where they learned to blend humour with practical techniques to communicate with confidence and impact. Moving beyond the traditional group interview format, students also took on an interactive card game challenge, collaborating on different group missions that revealed their teamwork, creative spark, and genuine passion for representing the School.

Throughout the year, Student Ambassadors will engage in a series of professional development workshops designed to equip them with essential skills across four core areas:

• Presentation and Communication
• Professional Etiquette
• Creativity and Event Management
• Networking and Relationship Building

To kick things off, a Dining Etiquette Workshop was held on Orientation Day, introducing ambassadors to the essentials of professional conduct in formal dining settings. The session covered key protocols such as proper utensil handling, wine basics, and navigating multi-course meals. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice, ambassadors gained the confidence and poise to handle formal business engagements with ease and cultural awareness.
