Connecting cultures through CUHK Business School’s welcoming lunches and the UG Get Together event

CUHK Business School is dedicated to cultivating global business leaders, and we are proud to host a vibrant, diverse student body representing over 30 nationalities. This year, we are thrilled to welcome more than 100 international students from around the world into our community.
Continuing our tradition, the Undergraduate Office (UGO) organised a series of welcoming lunches to help our international students connect with one another and engage with faculty members as they embark on their exciting journey at CUHK Business School.

The lunches were greeted by Dr. Fred Ku, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), Dr. John Lai, Dr. Anson Au-Yeung, Assistant Deans (Undergraduate Studies), and Ms. Rose Chan, Administrative Director (UG Programmes). These gatherings were filled with camaraderie, warmth, and meaningful conversations. Students from Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam proudly showcased their traditional costumes and shared their experiences as newcomers to CUHK and Hong Kong.

As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen student connections, UGO hosted the signature event, UG Get Together 2025, on 24 October 2025. This cherished tradition brings undergraduate students together for an evening of vibrant energy and unforgettable moments.
With over a hundred students joining the event, the night was not only filled with students from multicultural backgrounds but also allowed participants from various business majors to meet and build relationships with one another. More than just a barbecue feast, our students also had the chance to enjoy the performance stage with singing, dancing, and win the best-dressed award for Halloween!
